The project is aimed to develop an adaptive and fully automated air-coupled ultrasound inspection system for
highly integrated composite components, whose complex geometries and difficult access prevent using state of the
art equipments. A non-contact ultrasound technique will be developed, avoiding water coupling complications and
reducing inspection time by integrating the inspection machine into the clean environment of the production line. A
solution like that is not available nowadays.
