1D model of piezoelectric transducers based on a piezoelectric element vibrating in thickness mode with a backing block and a stack of impedance matching layers on the radiating surface .
The model calculates the electrical impedance, the electrical response when a plane wave impignes on the transducer surface and the surface displacement when the transducer is excited with an electrical signal.
The model is implemented in Python and the module also includes an optimization algorithm to obtain the best configuration of matching layers.
