We are hiring, we have two research positions open: pre and post docs.
The Ultrasonic Systems Research Group of the Institute of Physical Technologies (ITEFI, ITEFI.csic.es) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC, csic.es), located in Madrid, Spain, has two positions open: One pre-doc and one post-doc position.
The selected candidates will participate in the research activity of the group related to ultrasonic transducers technologies and novel application and use cases. Concerning transducer technologies, this comprises bulk transducers and MEMS as well as modelling, optimization, fabrication routes, materials selection and characterization. Novel applications and use cases proposed for these transducers are aligned with industry 4.0 demands in emergent fields and in different industries.
We offer integration in a dynamic research group and participation in a challenging and large scale European project in an attractive research line with strong applications, real possibilities to collaborate with different partners at European level, and high publication rate. The group has a consolidated international position in this field and fully equipped labs for applications development, transducers calibration, material testing and transducer fabrication.
For the post-doc position we are looking for a candidate graduated in physics or engineering with a PhD related to ultrasonic applications or transducers and with interest in further advance in the research career.
For the predoc position we are looking for a highly motivated candidate interested to pursue a PhD degree in this field, graduated in Physics or Engineering and interested in applied research and technology development.
